The Formula To Achieving Greater Success With Anything You Want
Are you looking for greater growth and success in your business and life? If so, I have a formula that I'm going to share with you today that can help anyone see greater growth and success in any part of their life.
Hi, I am Tim Fitzpatrick with Rialto Marketing, where we believe marketing shouldn't be difficult. All you need is the right plan. Thank you so much for taking the time to tune in.
I have always felt that the more often we can break things down into simple steps and plans, the greater likelihood we have of being successful or seeing success. Over complicating things, it is a road to know where it makes things far more difficult than they need to be, which is why this formula caught my attention. This formula is called the 4Cs formula. It was popularized by Dan Sullivan. I actually saw in a video from a guy by the name of Dr. Benjamin Hardy. So I want to give these two guys props. It is the 4Cs formula. This has been used over and over again. It is a pattern that Dan Sullivan identified when he looked at what people were doing to be successful. I want to walk you through this framework today and you'll see how simple this is. So again, it's the 4Cs.

Breaking Down the 4C Formula
The first C is commitment. We must be 100% committed to a breakthrough in the future. There are no guarantees that we're going to be successful, but we have to be committed to taking action in this first step. Oftentimes in this step, we need to let go of lesser goals. If we have too many goals, those are going to get in the way of us really accomplishing what's most important. So we need to let go of what's not important. And sometimes that means other goals that we have. The other thing we also need to consider is we need to eliminate alternatives and options. Someone said to me once we need to burn the boats. We've arrived on the island, and if our boat is still sitting there, we have an option to get off. We can back away from our commitment. We need to burn the boats and be 100% committed to taking action. That's the first C.
The second C is courage. Once we've made the commitment, we now need to muster up the courage to take action. If we do not take action, nothing is ever going to happen, right? So we have to get that courage so that we can start taking action and that action that is going to help us get to those next steps. We need to take action despite our fear, despite our discomfort, despite the uncertainty that is there that's always going to be there. This step does not feel good in most cases because we have a lot of fear and a lot of uncertainty. But we need to have the courage to push through that. Commitment, courage to take the action.
Then we reach the third C, which is capability. As we take action and we get more experience, we become more capable, and we just become more and more capable over time. Think about anything. When I got into marketing, I didn't know a lot about what I was doing, but the longer I've been in it, the more experience I get, the more capable I become, which then leads to step four.
The four C, which is confidence. As my capability increases, my experience increases, my confidence increases. With that, it's the only way we can build confidence. Just apply this to something really simple, like learning how to ride a bike. Most of us have learned how to ride a bike. When we first started, we made the commitment. I'm going to learn to ride a bike. We then mustered up the courage to start jumping on and riding it. We were scared. Most of us were. But the more we started to ride, the more capable we became, and the more capable we became, the more our confidence increased and the higher likelihood we had of succeeding. And we certainly grew and became different, better, stronger people as a result of that.
So if you want to break through, see some growth, see more success. We can all use this simple 4Cs formula to get there. 4Cs again are commitment, courage, capability, and confidence. If you try this, let me know what you think. Love to hear it. I have started using it. Never really actually thought about breaking this down into a process. But when you do break it down into a process, it becomes much easier to identify where you are and what you need to do to get to that next step.
