The Secret To Getting Faster Results With Your Marketing
How would you like to get faster results with your marketing? I know it's a dumb question. Of course you do. That is why today I'm going to spend some time talking about how you can actually the secret to making this happen. Hi, I am Tim Fitzpatrick with Rialto Marketing. Thank you so much for taking the time to tune in. We believe at Rialto marketing, marketing shouldn't be difficult. All you need is the right plan. So if you are watching this live or listening live, it is the day before Thanksgiving. I just want to take a quick moment to wish you and yours a happy, safe, and healthy Thanksgiving.
It is one of my favorite holidays and I can't wait myself. I'm going to be putting on those pie pants and doing some eating. And so please enjoy. It has been a challenging year for all of us and we need to take the time to just enjoy and live in the moment. So what am I going to talk about today? I'm going to get into this secret of how to get results faster. And it has everything to do with not reinventing the wheel.
It is not revolutionary, but it is something that so many people overlook. That's why I want to take just a few minutes today to jump in and cover it with you. So I want you to think back to when you were a kid. Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, whatever it may be, you're on the playground having a great time and some kid comes up behind you and starts doing every single thing that you do, the same steps, they're walking the same way, they're repeating every word you say. They're using the exact same tone.
Super annoying, right? They're copying everything that you're doing. Now on the flip side, I want you to think about it. Two companies that we all know, VRBO, which is now HomeAway and Airbnb. When VRBO came on the scene, they really revolutionized how you can rent your lodging for vacation. You didn't have to use hotels anymore. They made it so much easier to rent private residences, whether it's a condo or a townhouse or house.
VRBO made that super easy and then Airbnb came along. And although it's similar. There's some pretty distinct differences. With Airbnb, they're really trying to play off of the shared economy. What if I don't want to rent an entire house? With Airbnb, you can just rent a room within a house or parts of a part of the residence, but not the entire residence. Maybe you want to hang out and meet somebody new, right? I can hang out and I'm meeting the person that's actually living there, having conversation, getting to know somebody else.
Airbnb used a similar model, but they made it on their own. Copying is cutting and pasting. OK, you're doing the exact same thing that somebody else is doing. Modeling, on the other hand, is using the same principles or the same frameworks of the same system that somebody else is using. But you're creating something that is all your own. So although Airbnb is similar, they did create something on their own, it is very different than VRBO and frankly, the customers for each of those two different businesses is distinct, I think.
So copying is certainly not something that you want to do within your business. Modeling is absolutely something that you want to do within your business. There are already proven models, frameworks, systems, whatever you want to call them, that people are using to get results with their marketing and frankly, with all other aspects of their business. We do not need to reinvent the wheel. The key here is to find those models that resonate with you, that make sense to you, make sure that you really understand them, and then implement them within your business and make them your own.
Modeling is how you're going to get faster results with your marketing efforts. What modeling does is it eliminates a lot of the trial and error that people go through. You don't need to go through that. And if you can eliminate that trial and error, you save yourself so much time and money. Modeling is the key to getting results faster within your business and with your marketing.
So let's take a look. I'm going to just to try and solidify this point, want to talk about three quick examples of modeling to kickstart your marketing. OK, the first one is the Facebook ads library. If you've never done this, open up your web browser type in Facebook ads library and click on that link that comes up. What is in the Facebook ads library is a library of all the existing ads that are on Facebook. So you can type in your competitors' names, you can type in people that you follow, that you really like watching.
You love the content that they're putting out. And you can see exactly what Facebook ads they are running. Again, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, and by the way, if you see ads there that have been running for an extended period of time, odds are those ads are working very well. Why would they keep putting money into an ad that's not working? So you can see the actual ad copy, you can see the graphics, you can click on it and see where they're sending people.
So you can look at the landing page ad that they're sending people to or wherever they're sending people. You can basically break down that ad to see exactly what they're doing. And then you can model it for yourself. You're not reinventing the wheel, just look at what the key elements that they're using to create those ads where they're sending people. And you can use that exact same thing for your business. You can model it, but you create it, make it your own.
And then use it, it will eliminate all kinds of trial and error for you, so Facebook ads, library, go there. If you haven't checked it out, there's tons of great information in there. Now, the second thing is social media. What should you be posting on social media? What types of content? One of the things that you should be doing from a technique or tactical standpoint on social media that you're not. How do you figure this out?
Again, look at what are your competitors doing? Are they getting good results if they're getting good results? Look at what they're doing on their social channels. What are they posting? Are they using specific types of hashtags? What are they doing? Influencers within their space or other people that you follow. Go to their social pages and see what they're doing. How often are they posting? What types of content are they posting? Again, you don't need to reinvent the wheel here, just look at what they're doing.
You can see exactly how many comments do they have on their posts, how many people are sharing it. You can look at all that information and compare that to the followers that they have to see what type of engagement rate they're getting. That's going to give you a good clue of what's working well for them and what's not. And then you can take that exact same information. Create a plan for yourself as to what you are going to do on social media to build your following, to provide valuable content that's going to help your following and to get better engagement and better results from your social media.
So, again, we're not reinventing the wheel here. We're just looking at what people are doing and that's working and modeling that. Now, the third tip I've got for you is email marketing and automations. So when you opt in to somebody's email list, I wanted their checklist or their cheat sheet or I signed up for a webinar. What type of email follow up sequences are you getting? How many emails are you receiving from them? How many days are they spaced apart?
What are they saying in each email message? Again, you don't need to figure this out from scratch. Look at what people are doing and you can take that same framework message one they sent out here, this is what they said. How can I change this so that it makes sense in my case? What's the second email say? How many days did they wait and just follow that and then do the exact same thing for yourself?
If you started doing business with somebody and they sent you some type of onboarding email sequence. What did they say, how you know, again, how many days was it spaced out? Did you? Was it effective? If it really resonated with you, it's probably going to resonate with other people. And you can take that same thing and model it for your own business. So, find the models, you know are working for others and make them your own.
You do not have to reinvent the wheel. Just take what's already working and make it your own. Modeling is the key to getting faster results with your marketing. So I hope that helps. And it was a short solo episode today. But I know that if you look at this and you start to use modeling within your business, you will see results faster and you will get better results.
